KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA has announced that 308 softball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Avila (Mo.) leads all institutions with seven student-athletes on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic stats to qualify for this honor.
Juniors Allison Cochran (Canton, NC) and Jessica Allen (Summerfield, NC) both earned this award for the Cavaliers.
